Counterpoint is dedicated to performing choral chamber music and are praised for their “clarity, skill and sophisticated musical expressiveness.” Since 2017, Counterpoint’s Artistic Director has been Nathaniel G. Lew, who is also Professor of Fine Arts at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, where he teaches music history, music theory and humanities, and directs the Honors Program. The September 10th concert celebrates “Turn the World Around,” a celebration of a cappella folksongs and the Great American Songbook, featuring both new works and classic Robert De Cormier arrangements from Counterpoint’s early years. www. counterpointchorus.org |
